We couldn’t be more excited about the new Campus Parkway Protected Bike Lane Project!
This needed connection will protect those on bikes from the busy multi-lane Campus Parkway connection to Roosevelt and the University Bridge. Importantly, it will help users of the 12th Ave Greenway with a safe connection across a complex and busy web of streets. It will also make the streets safer for the multitude of people walking in the area.
The Protected Bike Lane (PBL) will be located along the center median of Campus Parkway, and on either side of Brooklyn.

…waitaminute! It doesn’t connect one last block to the Burke-Gilman?
We’ve changed our mind. We could be more excited…
Here’s how we’d make the new Campus Parkway Protected Bike Lane Project even better:

All in all, a great start. But why stop, when we’re so close?
Be sure to check out the full plans on the Project page, & let us know what you’d like to see.
If you’d like to tell us in person, University Greenways meets at 6pm on the third Wednesday of the month, likely in the U-District Parklet, especially if it stays this nice!
